About our client

Our client is a leading general engineering contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure, including water production facilities, treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, and industrial control panels. They provide comprehensive services, including construction management, pre-construction cost modeling, scheduling, equipment procurement, value engineering, and project evaluation.

 

Summary

The Project Manager role involves leading and managing water and wastewater treatment construction projects from inception to completion. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams and report to senior leadership to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager is responsible for the daily execution of assigned projects, including verifying estimates, creating and communicating schedules, and supervising subcontractors, vendors, and personnel. They will also oversee and support Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents while promoting a culture of safety and mentoring team members for professional growth.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage Field Engineers, and Project Engineers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee project budgets, change orders, schedules, and resources, converting estimates into actionable plans.
  • Prepare, review, and execute work packages and shutdown plans.
  • Drive proposal development and support pursuit planning.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities, ensuring client satisfaction and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company systems and safety standards.
  • Provide clear, professional communication with stakeholders and team members.
  • Actively support hiring, training, and internal development programs.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in construction management, with a strong understanding of industry standards, practices, and project execution.
  • Proven leadership in supervising diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Adobe/Bluebeam.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • OSHA-30 certification required.
