We are searching for a Scheduling Manager for one of Arizona's top ranked construction enterprises in their Building Services division. Projects will be within Mission Critical, Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Retail, Industrial, Tilt and more. Responsivities
- Collaborate closely with project superintendents, project managers, estimators, procurement staff, construction managers, and other project services personnel to meticulously plan and schedule projects from initial concepts through construction phases.
- Create resource-loaded schedules, encompassing activity lists, key milestones, critical approvals, long-lead procurement items, and other essential project deliverables for scheduling and tracking purposes.
- Establish schedule logic and constraints, determining realistic activity durations, and evaluating available manpower and resources.
- Evaluate the impact of design changes and schedule delays, keeping company management and clients informed of all schedule updates.
- Apply expertise in engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, work processes, and concepts to construct and maintain critical path logic networks; leverage historical data for realistic future planning and forecasting.
- Offer guidance, direction, and specialized assistance in resolving challenging project control issues, including time impact analysis. May engage with clients, participate in regular meetings, and present statistical reports.
- Generate standard progress reports for each assigned project.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and job specifications.
- Verify project status, identifying and reporting variations in the schedule promptly.
- Coordinate the development, maintenance, and review of discipline and project schedules.
- Upload original and updated resources to reflect the current status.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of all schedule submittals and related details, enabling accurate measurement of time adjustments against the accepted schedule when delays or changes occur.
- Collaborate with project teams both on-site and in-office to create revision or recovery schedules as needed.
- Prepare written narratives for all schedule submittals.
- Track contract document requirements for schedule adherence, as well as changes in orders and contract amendments.
- Interpret performance curve data and forecast productivity; provide manpower information for forecasting.
- Assist in bid schedule creation in accordance with client requirements.
- Engage with clients, owners, and representatives.
- Provide schedule training to job teams for improved schedule maintenance, proper updating processes, and the creation of fragnets, TIA’s, etc.
Qualifications
- Over 5 years of construction scheduling experience, including three years of demonstrated leadership in directing scheduling functions.
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., with a deep understanding of the interdependence and relationships between various functional units.
- Working familiarity with standard cost control methods in the execution of different project types (EPC, Joint Venture, Lump Sum, Time and Material, Maintenance).
- Proficiency in various project controls software, such as Excel, and other company-specific tools. However, comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Primavera (P6) are essential for consideration.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred. Technical training or related experience will also be considered.
