Software Engineer – AI-Driven Healthtech Startup

About the Job

We’re seeking a Software Engineer to join a fast-scaling health technology company building the most advanced AI-powered claims adjudication platform in the industry.

This is a full-time, on-site role in San Francisco, CA, where you’ll work directly with founders to design and deliver production-quality software that transforms how small companies access and manage healthcare benefits.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Write production-quality Python and Next.js TypeScript code to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

• Develop the fastest and most accurate claims adjudication engine in the industry.

• Build and scale financial integrations and money movement features to support healthcare transactions.

• Improve user experience for members across in-app and phone channels to boost engagement and satisfaction.

• Define technical specifications, scope requirements, and ship features daily in a startup environment.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and product teams to align technical solutions with customer needs.

• Implement best practices for code quality, deployment, and scalability.

What You’ll Need:

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience (startup or fast-moving tech company preferred).

• Proficiency in Python, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Solid understanding of backend infrastructure, APIs, and data integrations.

• Proven ability to own projects end-to-end, from concept to deployment.

• Experience shipping features and iterating rapidly in production environments.

• Mission-oriented mindset — passionate about improving healthcare through technology.

• Ability to work 4–5 days per week in-office in San Francisco.
