As the company’s first AI-focused hire, you will work directly with executive leadership to define and execute a forward-looking AI strategy across multiple products and teams.

What You’ll Be Doing
AI Product Development
- Define the AI-first vision and technical roadmap in collaboration with executive, product, and engineering leadership
- Architect and build advanced AI features leveraging the latest in LLM technology and enterprise-scale systems
- Rapidly prototype and deploy AI-driven solutions that improve product functionality and customer outcomes
- Establish repeatable processes for developing and scaling AI features across multiple teams
- Implement data-driven feedback loops and clear performance metrics for continuous improvement
Team Leadership
- Lead AI projects across departments, fostering a culture of innovation and rapid experimentation
- Mentor and guide engineers in AI technologies, model integration, and applied system design
- Document outcomes, codify learnings, and create templates for scalable adoption
- Partner with product, operations, and engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery of AI features
AI-First Development Process
- Implement AI-first development practices using modern tooling such as Devin, Claude Code, and related platforms
- Optimize AI workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
What You’ll Need
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a technical leadership role
- Advanced Python programming skills with experience using web frameworks
- Deep expertise in Large Language Model (LLM) operations, prompt engineering, and modern AI architectures (RAG, vector databases, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with OpenAI, LiteLLM, AWS Bedrock, or similar platforms
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design skills
- Proven record of leading AI or ML projects from concept through production
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated success mentoring teams and delivering results in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Experience optimizing LLM performance and cost at production scale
- Background in AI systems development for regulated or enterprise industries such as financial services
- Experience designing and integrating AI agents into existing business workflows
