Founding AI Agent Engineer

Full-time | On-site | Irvine, CA

Compensation: $240K – $350K + Competitive Equity

About the Role

We’re looking for an exceptionally talented engineer to partner with the founding team of a fast-growing, well-capitalized startup at the intersection of consumer hardware and AI. This role will start with building AI agents for a coaching copilot service and quickly expand to high-impact projects that shape the future of sports technology.

As a founding engineer, you’ll be expected to move fast, ship ambitious projects, and work across the stack—from vision models to agent frameworks to customer-facing applications. If you thrive in high-intensity environments, have a history of building things others thought impossible in record time, and want to scale into technical leadership within months (not years), this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

First Month

• Build the AI Agent layer for internal tooling to deliver thousands of coaching lessons
• Retrain deep learning vision models for mobile deployment (object detection & regression)

3–6 Months+

• Lead stealth projects supporting 10x–100x growth
• Experiment with synthetic video generation for training use cases
• Collaborate with an in-house biomechanics lab to develop cutting-edge pose detection models

What We’re Looking For



• Proven experience developing single and multi-agent applications
• Strong background in full-stack development, traditional ML, and computer vision
• Ability to execute complex projects in a fraction of the time most engineers would expect
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in an intense, fast-paced environment
• Willingness to relocate to Irvine, CA (relocation assistance provided)
