Founding Product Engineer

Full-time | On-site | New York, NY

Compensation: $135K – $220K + Competitive Equity

About the Role

We’re looking for a founding Product Engineer to build intuitive, high-performance workflows that bring AI into the daily life of legal professionals. In this role, you’ll directly shape product design, implementation, and user experience—working closely with both customers and the founding team.

This is a zero-to-one role where you’ll help define the future of AI-native workflows in law, balancing cutting-edge research with practical, scalable product design.

Tech stack: React, TypeScript

What You’ll Do

• Build intuitive, optimized UI/UX using React and TypeScript for AI-powered workflows
• Rapidly prototype, evaluate, and iterate on new features in close collaboration with customers
• Develop AI-native workflows (e.g., streaming, long-running tasks, procedural UX) for complex reasoning and automation
• Influence product strategy at the intersection of engineering, design, and customer needs

What We’re Looking For

• Strong frontend engineering skills with React and TypeScript
• Experience building zero-to-one products in fast-paced environments
• Passion for creating elegant, user-friendly experiences
• Curiosity about AI/LLM applications and their impact on complex workflows
• Comfort working in-person in NYC with a small, focused team
