Growth and Operations Lead

Full-time | On-site | San Francisco, CA

Compensation: $140K – $250K + 0.5%–5% Equity (Founding Role)

About the Role

We’re seeking an entrepreneurial Growth and Operations Lead to help take an early-stage consumer AI product from hundreds of customers to thousands. This is a founding role, ideal for someone with 1–6 years of experience in growth and operations—especially if you’ve worked at an early-stage startup and thrive in environments where you can build from scratch, wear multiple hats, and move fast.

You’ll be responsible for setting the growth strategy, building the engine to scale, and shaping the company’s culture, processes, and playbooks from day one.

Tech stack: Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, SQL, no-code data tools

What You’ll Do

  • Founding impact: hire vendors/contractors, establish playbooks, and shape culture and processes
  • 0→1 growth strategy: define segments, messaging, and models for D2C and early professional use cases
  • Build the engine: set up tracking, attribution, LTV/CAC; launch pages, pricing tests, waitlists, and referral loops
  • Experiment at full-funnel: paid social/search, influencer partnerships, affiliates, community, short-form video, and live demos
  • Retention & lifecycle: drive onboarding, email/SMS/push campaigns, and habit loops to turn preorders into long-term subscribers
  • Narrative & product marketing: own launch calendars, press, creator seeding, and announcements for a new interface category
  • Explore B2B wedges: run pilot experiments with professional teams to expand use cases
  • Voice of customer: speak with users weekly and bring insights back into roadmap and positioning

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–6 years in growth, ops, or marketing (startup experience strongly preferred)
  • A builder’s mindset: comfortable creating processes, playbooks, and systems from scratch
  • Hands-on experience across growth levers: paid, organic, influencer, lifecycle, community
  • Analytical ability with comfort in metrics like LTV, CAC, funnel conversion, and attribution
  • Entrepreneurial energy, creativity, and curiosity to define a new consumer category

Benefits

  • Competitive salary + equity (0.5%–5%)
  • Relocation assistance if not currently Bay Area-based
  • On-site, collaborative team environment in San Francisco
  • Founding-level ownership and career trajectory
