Engineering Lead (D2C)

About the Role


We’re seeking an Engineering Lead to build, align, and scale a high-performing engineering organization while remaining deeply hands-on.


This is an opportunity to shape the architecture, culture, and velocity of a fast-growing, product-led company that’s redefining how technology transforms personal health and longevity.


You’ll partner directly with founders, product leaders, and the executive team to drive architecture decisions, accelerate execution, and recruit top-tier technical talent.


What You’ll Do


  • Build at Scale: Establish and lead an engineering culture focused on speed, quality, and ownership.


  • Own Architecture Decisions: Balance innovation with system scalability, reliability, and performance.


  • Collaborate Closely: Work directly with leadership to scope, prioritize, and deliver high-impact product initiatives.


  • Increase Velocity: Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, streamline processes, and shorten iteration cycles.


  • Grow the Team: Recruit, mentor, and level up world-class engineers who thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.


Who You Are


  • 7+ years of engineering experience, including leadership in fast-scaling consumer or D2C products.


  • Deep technical expertise with modern systems architecture and infrastructure.


  • Experience leading teams working across both backend and frontend stacks.


  • Proven ability to scale engineering processes and culture without sacrificing product speed or quality.


  • Strong communicator who can align teams and execute in high-velocity environments.


  • Passionate about building products that improve human performance, health, or wellness.

Work Environment


  • Location: San Francisco, CA


  • Schedule: On-site, 5 days per week

Compensation & Benefits


  • Salary: $200K–$300K (flexible for the right candidate)


  • Equity: Competitive early-stage package
