Japanese Sommelier - Luxury Resort in the Maldives
Key Responsibilities:
Wine service in the resorts Japanese restaurant
Support in conducting pairings for guests
Provide personalized wine recommendations based on guest preferences and occasions.
Help with maintaining the wine cellar, ensuring accurate inventory, proper storage, and stock control.
Work closely with the service team to deliver excellent wine service during dining.
Stay informed on wine trends and continuously develop knowledge of global wine regions and varieties.
Participate in training sessions for F&B staff, helping to enhance their wine knowledge.
Requirements:
Sommelier Certification
Must speak Japanese
Minimum 6 months experience as a sommelier in an upscale restaurant or 5-star hotel or luxury setting is preferred.
Passionate about wine and eager to learn more about wine pairings and service.
Strong customer service skills, with a focus on enhancing the guest experience.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
