Sommelier  - Luxury Resort in the Maldives


Part of established portfolio of luxury resorts in Maldives and Thailand. 4 resorts and luxury yacht


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Sommelier in managing the resort’s wine selection, ensuring a high standard of presentation and service.
  • Support in conducting pairings for guests, under the guidance of the Head Sommelier.
  • Provide personalized wine recommendations based on guest preferences and occasions.
  • Help with maintaining the wine cellar, ensuring accurate inventory, proper storage, and stock control.
  • Work closely with the service team to deliver excellent wine service during dining.
  • Stay informed on wine trends and continuously develop knowledge of global wine regions and varieties.
  • Participate in training sessions for F&B staff, helping to enhance their wine knowledge.


Requirements:

  • Sommelier certification
  • Must have European wine exposure.
  • 1 year experience in a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Passionate about wine and eager to learn more about wine pairings and service.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on enhancing the guest experience.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
