Latin American Chef/Speciality Chef - Luxury Resort- Maldives

        


ABOUT THE COMPANY:

We are looking for someone who is Chef De Partie Level with Latin American cuisine experience (Argentinian/ Mexican/ Peruvian/ Brazilian cuisine)

  • Cook and serve Argentinian, Brazilian and Mexican food specials such as Milanesa and Chiles en Nogada and other typical signature dishes from South America 
  • Cook and serve a range of open-Fire meats as well as Latin Set Menus 
  • Cook and serve a range of salads. 
  • Cook and serve Latin Desserts and Sweets. 
  • Operate Argentinian, Brazilian and Mexican Pop-ups and live cooking stations. 
  • Develop and demonstrate with guests, Latin Cooking Classes. 
  • Cover all meal periods including breakfast 


Reports to the Senior Sous Chef and Executive Chef


Salary and Benefits:


  • USD $1000 net per month plus guest gratuity share which is approx $800 month.  Total expected take home salary is $1800 per month. Salary is tax free so you will receive the full amount.
  • 3 meals per day
  • Accommodation provided by the hotel.  Please note this position does not allow any family to live with you, you would need to work there by yourself.  
  • You must be comfortable living on a private island with no nearby stores, movies etc.
  • Leave: 30 days Annual leave + 11 Public Holidays + 8 Days Rest & Relaxation leave which can be taken based on Head of team approval and operational requirements.


Ideally shortlisted candidates will be flown to the island by mid July for a 2 - 3 day visit and tasting.
