About the Role

We're looking for an Automation Specialist to support plant automation, controls, and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. This position focuses on PLCs, robotics, SCADA, troubleshooting, and improving equipment reliability.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, safety PLCs, industrial networks, robotics, and SCADA systems
• Lead root cause analysis for electrical and controls failures
• Troubleshoot automation and process control issues to minimize downtime
• Perform electrical and automation work orders, including process device calibrations
• Maintain electrical documentation and controls standards
• Support ABB robotics using IRC5 controllers
• Coordinate with maintenance and production on equipment reliability
• Lead continuous improvement and breakdown analysis activities
• Provide controls support and training to plant personnel

Requirements

• Engineering degree OR 1+ years of Electrical/Controls Engineering Technology experience
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PLC hardware and software
• Experience with ABB robots and IRC5 controllers
• Process control systems experience
• Hands-on electrical power and controls experience
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement principles
• Willingness to provide support as needed within a 24/7 operation
