Manufacturing company in Wichita, KS is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join their Commercial Finance team.


Location: Wichita, KS

Shift: Days

Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 (depending on experience)


Description

The role is part of the Finance team and will be the primary Commercial finance analyst providing strong financial business partnering to the CFO, Manager, FP&A, and Commercial team. Primary responsibilities are pricing, profitability analysis, and planning support: 


  1. Price administration – Annual pricing processes, special pricing process, maintaining price books in the ERP, calculating sales commissions and bonuses, month end close Commercial reporting.
  2. Profitability analysis – conducts quarterly analysis for customers, product lines, and business segments, as well as ad-hoc analysis and business decision support as required.
  3. Planning and forecasting – develop and maintain volume and revenue planning models by customer, product, and business segment. 



Essential responsibilities and accountabilities

 

1. Acts as a trusted business partner to the finance team to support decision making driving financial performance improvement. Analyze revenue and margin trends to identify opportunities for growth, balanced with preservation of margins. 

2. In support of the above - monitor and tracks monthly, quarterly and YTD KPI performance and conduct monthly business performance reviews with the CFO and Commercial team.

3. Performs price, volume mix analysis in support of month-end close and communicates results to the CFO and FP&A lead.  

4. Performs or manages all price administration tasks, including the annual pricing and special pricing processes.

5. Monitors adherence to SOX and internal control policies for revenue recognition related to invoicing and pricing.

6. Develops sales volume and revenue forecasts for annual operating plans (AOP, 3+9, 6+6 & 9+3), and adhoc frequencies as necessary efficiently, accurately and timely in standardized formats.

7. Maintains and ensures data integrity in the ERP system through proper maintenance of the price books, and sales category dimensions. 

8. Support finance led initiatives to drive finance performance improvement, compliance adherence and standardization of processes. 


Education: Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred)


Previous Experience:


Seasoned financial analyst, with progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.

Experience in working with cross-functional teams

Strong technical skills in financial reporting and analysis

Proven track record of KPI goal setting, development of action plans and successful achievement of objectives

Knowledgeable in planning methodologies, financial modeling and strong in advanced Excel
