HiFyve is hiring a Product Development Engineer in the HVAC industry in La Crosse, WI!


Salary: $90,000 - 110,000+, based on experience

Location: La Crosse, WI


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of new air handling unit products from concept to production, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify and implement product enhancements through research and feedback, improving performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Utilize CAD and simulation tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and engineering drawings for new products and updates.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to develop prototypes and conduct thorough testing and validation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and procurement, to streamline the product development process.
  • Stay current with industry trends and propose innovative solutions to enhance product offerings.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery of milestones and successful product launches.
  • Work with quality assurance teams to address product quality issues and implement necessary design improvements.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product development within the HVAC industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration concepts and air handling systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, CFD).
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and/or manage small engineering teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
