HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the chemical manufacturing industry in Calumet City, IL!

Salary: $43.07+ OT (plus bonus potential)

Shift: 8am-4pm

Location: Calumet City, IL

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, PLCs, DCS, pumps, valves, and process equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Support RCA investigations and participate in safety and environmental programs (PSM, EHS)
• Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards and policies
• Complete required documentation and maintain good housekeeping practices in work areas
• Track performance metrics including uptime, downtime, and mean time to failure

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Trade school certifications (preferred) in areas such as: Welding, Pipefitting, Millwright, Electrical, PLC or HVAC

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience (5+ years with trade school credentials)
• Experience in a chemical plant environment strongly preferred
• Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical/electrical repair skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental standards
