HiFyve is hiring a Vice President of Engineering and Operations!


Salary: $145,000 - $175,000 + 30% Annual Performance Bonus

Schedule: Days | Hybrid (4 days onsite / 1 day remote)

Location: Houston, TX


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership for a North American business unit specializing in engineered-to-order industrial equipment and systems
  • Own full P&L responsibility, driving revenue growth, profitability, and operational performance
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with long-term growth objectives
  • Lead commercial strategy, including sales, business development, and key customer relationships across heavy industrial markets
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to deliver complex capital equipment solutions
  • Oversee application engineering, product design, manufacturing, installation, and project execution from quote through commissioning
  • Drive operational excellence by improving project execution, manufacturing performance, and delivery timelines
  • Establish risk management processes for engineering, commercial proposals, contracts, and project execution
  • Support major customer negotiations and executive-level business development activities
  • Collaborate with global leadership teams to implement best practices, technology initiatives, and operational improvements
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across sales, engineering, operations, and project management
  • Foster a culture focused on safety, customer satisfaction, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term strategic plans
  • Identify new market opportunities and expand business within heavy industrial sectors


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline required
  • MBA or other advanced business or engineering degree preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 15+ years of progressive executive leadership experience within engineered-to-order manufacturing or industrial equipment
  • Demonstrated success leading a business unit with full P&L responsibility
  • Strong background in industrial sales, engineering, manufacturing, and project execution
  • Experience leading complex capital equipment or engineered systems businesses
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives
  • Strong financial, operational, and commercial leadership skills
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, manufacturing, and sales
  • Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills
  • Experience with large industrial projects involving engineering, fabrication, installation, and commissioning
  • Strong understanding of project risk management, contract administration, and operational planning
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple business functions and global organizations
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20–30%, including domestic and international travel
