Salary: $79,800 - $105,700 annually

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical resource for product quality, plant reliability, cost management, and health, environmental, and safety (HES) performance within a batch manufacturing environment.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), including tracking performance metrics and implementing process improvements.
- Coordinate new product scale-up activities and support successful commercialization through recipe implementation and manufacturing readiness.
- Maintain and update plant recipes, batch operating procedures, and process documentation while ensuring Management of Change (MOC) requirements are followed.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions for process and quality issues.
- Provide technical support for daily production activities to help achieve safety, quality, production, and cost objectives.
- Support and maintain the DeltaV process control system and assist with process optimization, commissioning, startup activities, and control loop tuning.
- Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), incident investigations, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and other safety initiatives while promoting continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, automation, research, and management to drive operational excellence and process improvements.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing
- Six Sigma experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with DeltaV process control systems preferred
- Knowledge of emulsion polymerization manufacturing processes preferred
- Experience supporting new product scale-up from laboratory to commercial production preferred
- Understanding of acrylic monomer handling and related process safety practices preferred
- Familiarity with Process Safety methodologies, including Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
- Experience performing root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Familiarity with IP-21 or similar process data historian systems
- Knowledge of HES compliance, plant reliability, product quality, and cost management principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a commitment to continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration
