HiFyve is hiring a Nuclear Facilities Engineer (Electrical Engineer) at a Nuclear Power Plant in New Mexico!!
Location: New Mexico - Relocation Assistance Provided
Salary: - $104,100 - $260,800 (4 levels depending on experience)
Job Summary: Support the company's mission by contributing technical expertise in electrical engineering for nuclear facilities. In this role, you'll assist in ensuring electrical safety, power quality, power monitoring, and critical power reliability within and around the plutonium facility. You'll also support projects involving facility modifications, new equipment installations, and infrastructure development. Your responsibilities may include performing engineering studies such as short-circuit analysis, device coordination, equipment sizing, exterior lighting design, fault current calculations, and arc flash assessments for both medium- and low-voltage systems. You may also support demolition, installation, upgrade, and repair activities. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to qualify as a Cognizant System Engineer (CSE) for one or more Vital Safety Systems (VSS) supporting the Nuclear Facilities.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Experience at lower level: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university and a minimum of 3 years practical work experience to the degree necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined above. Current registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is highly desirable.
