About the Role
This role leads company-wide quality, safety, and environmental systems across multiple business units, ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement while driving a strong quality culture.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and develop quality teams to ensure consistency across all products and business units
- Oversee integrated management systems including quality, environmental, safety, and food safety programs
- Manage external audits (ISO, SFI, FSC, Food Safety, customer audits) and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Oversee CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) programs
- Maintain and manage all quality documentation, procedures, and process maps
- Lead internal audit programs and drive resolution of nonconformances
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, EPA, sustainability standards)
- Coordinate resolution of quality issues with vendors, customers, and internal teams
- Develop and implement company-wide training programs related to quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Support development and execution of safety programs and new-hire orientation
- Monitor product testing documentation and calibration programs across facilities
- Prepare required regulatory reports, notices, and documentation
- Support hiring efforts related to quality and safety functions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain awareness of industry trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality, compliance, or related field (TQM, SPC, ISO)
- Strong audit and regulatory compliance background
- Experience leading quality systems across multiple sites or business units
- ISO and BRC experience preferred
- Engineering background preferred
- Corrugated or packaging industry experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
