About the Role
Join a growing food and beverage manufacturing facility as a Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and utility equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys solving mechanical and electrical issues, supporting equipment reliability, and minimizing production downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, emergency, and corrective maintenance on production, processing, packaging, and utility equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and automated equipment to restore production quickly and safely
- Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify potential issues before failures occur
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and work orders to complete repairs
- Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment
- Support production teams by troubleshooting equipment issues and helping reduce downtime
- Complete work orders accurately and document all maintenance activities in the CMMS or maintenance tracking system
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and material handling equipment safely and effectively
- Follow MRO procedures for parts usage, inventory, and maintenance documentation
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, GMPs, food safety standards, sanitation requirements, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and leadership teams regarding equipment status and repair priorities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical school or trade school education in industrial maintenance, electrical, PLCs, mechanical systems, welding, refrigeration, or related field preferred
- 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and automated production equipment
- Experience working with conveyors, packaging equipment, process equipment, motor controls, and industrial machinery
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Experience using maintenance tools, electrical meters, and diagnostic equipment
- Basic computer skills and experience completing maintenance documentation
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
