HiFyve is hiring an EDM Machinist in the manufacturing industry!

Salary: Up to $42.50/hour (day shift) or up to $50/hour (night shift)

Shift: Day or Night – Flexible schedule

Location: Plymouth, MN

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate Electrical Discharge Machines (EDM) to precisely cut and shape metal and other materials.
• Set up and run EDM machines to produce high-precision parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Monitor the machining process to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Maintain and clean EDM equipment and tooling to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report any major malfunctions to maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of production and quality inspections.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience operating EDM machines in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to work with extremely tight tolerances and high-precision parts.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
