HiFyve is hiring a General Manager in the Precision Machining industry!

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000/yearly + performance incentives available

Shift: Day Shift M-F

Location: On-site in Grand Rapids, MN

Position Overview:

HiFyve is partnering with an established precision machining manufacturer seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations, mentor machinists, improve manufacturing processes, and support future company growth.

This is not a corporate management role. The ideal candidate is an experienced CNC Machinist, Manufacturing Engineer, Shop Manager, or Production Leader who enjoys spending time on the shop floor solving technical problems, improving processes, and developing people.

The company is looking for a leader with strong machining expertise who can help optimize margins, improve operational performance, and continue building a high-performing manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day operations of a CNC machining facility

Develop and improve manufacturing processes for new and existing components

Support programming, setup, troubleshooting, and process optimization activities

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and profitability

Solve production and quality challenges in collaboration with machining and quality teams

Coach, mentor, and develop less experienced machinists and operators

Help establish best practices for setup reduction, tooling utilization, and machine efficiency

Support production scheduling and resource planning

Identify opportunities to improve margins and operational performance

Partner with ownership to support future business growth initiatives

Maintain a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Extensive CNC machining experience required

Strong experience with CNC mills and/or lathes in a precision machining environment

Experience developing machining processes and improving production efficiency

Ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues

Previous leadership experience preferred; experienced senior machinists looking to move into leadership are encouraged to apply

Manufacturing Engineering experience highly preferred

Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and machining best practices

Experience mentoring and developing machinists

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
