HiFyve is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician for a leading Manufacturing company!

Salary: $30–$42 per hour, depending on experience and level

Shift: 

  • Monday–Wednesday: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Thursday–Saturday: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Overtime: Approximately 6 hours per week, with additional overtime opportunities as needed

Location: Black Creek, GA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment.
  • Diagnose and perform routine, emergency, and unscheduled repairs on CNC machines, lathes, servo motors, and other complex production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair complex machinery, machine tools, and specialized production equipment.
  • Observe and test machinery using voltmeters, precision measuring instruments, and other diagnostic tools to identify malfunctions.
  • Service and repair mechanical components, including pumps, motors, shafts, bearings, and spindles.
  • Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics, machine manuals, technical specifications, and complicated drawings.
  • Plan repair procedures and machine, fabricate, fit, and align replacement parts as needed.
  • Perform power distribution troubleshooting and identify equipment component failures.
  • Map and control I/O, PLC, and CNC systems as required.
  • Perform facility and equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Record and track maintenance schedules and completed work.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and support 6S initiatives.
  • Safely isolate hazardous energy and follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Use a variety of hand, power, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with production and maintenance teams.
  • Support additional maintenance projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 4+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment for Level 3 candidates.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment for Level 4 candidates.
  • Technical training, apprenticeship experience, or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred.
  • Advanced mechanical knowledge with experience servicing and repairing pumps, motors, shafts, bearings, and spindles.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing CNC equipment, servo motors, controls wiring, and programmable controllers.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and specifications.
  • Advanced experience using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic tools.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous-energy isolation procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work effectively under deadlines and pressure.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Level 4 candidates should have experience with PLC/CNC I/O mapping and control.
  • Intermediate understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness to participate in training and continued skill development.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to meet applicable employment eligibility and compliance requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and perform physical maintenance tasks throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working around machinery, industrial equipment, noise, and other manufacturing conditions.
  • Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
