HiFyve is hiring a Plant Manager in the Food and Nutrition industry in California’s Central Valley!
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000+, based on experience
Bonus: 15%
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement key manufacturing plans and programs to achieve production output and budget goals.
- Coordinate with all manufacturing functional areas to ensure continuity towards meeting plant goals and customer quality standards.
- Manage production capacity and synchronize with sales volume requirements, implementing contingency plans as needed.
- Track and manage the annual operating budget, monitoring cost-effectiveness and goal achievement.
- Oversee plant assets and drive capital improvements to enhance operating efficiencies and volume capacity.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering a team-based environment that supports open communication and performance improvement.
- Enforce safety and regulatory compliance, ensuring long-term safe operation of the facility.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop and refine quality specifications for raw materials and assist in new product/process development.
- Maintain and optimize production logs and implement systems like OEE, Six Sigma, and World Class methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal manufacturing regulations for food-grade products.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of 10 years in management within a food-grade production environment.
- Previous experience in dairy manufacturing.
- Background in packaging facility operations.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of plant operation procedures and business system software.
- Analytical mindset with excellent organizational and supervisory skills.
