HiFyve is hiring a Manufacturing Welding Engineer in the manufacturing industry in St. Louis, MO!

Salary: $70-90K/yr

Shift: 1st Shift M-F 630a-3p or 7a-330p

Location: St. Louis, MO 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide production support for the welding department under the direction of the Plant Manager.
  • Design weld fixtures, develop welding process specifications, and create programming and equipment specifications for Mig, Tig, spot, and flash welding.
  • Support tube fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Analyze and resolve quality and process control issues in production.
  • Introduce new processes to improve welding quality and efficiency.
  • Design, develop, implement, and analyze manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Design and procure fixtures while improving existing welding processes.
  • Document and communicate process improvements.
  • Diagnose and resolve manufacturing problems to ensure smooth operations.
  • Recommend process changes to maximize efficiency in personnel and space utilization.
  • Support production and maintenance through strong problem-solving skills.
  • Set up machines and inspect parts during production for quality compliance.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors for materials and services.
  • Support Sales and Project Managers with customer visits and sales calls.
  • Uphold company goals and maintain professional conduct across teams.
  • Assist with maintenance and upkeep of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure product quality meets company standards and prevents defects.
  • Manage internal and external business relationships with professionalism and discretion.
  • Safeguard confidential manufacturing information, including proprietary processes and patents.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with robotic Mig welding in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering theory and manufacturing techniques.
  • Familiarity with standard industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Effective time and material management to meet production deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across diverse teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with departments and customers.
