HiFyve is hiring an Automation Technician to support manufacturing operations!


Salary: $25-$38/Hr + Quartey Bonus

Shift: 3rd -Shift 11PM - 7:30AM

Location: Mexico, MO


Job Duties and Responsibilities

This position supports the production use of robotic and automated manufacturing equipment, focusing on installation, optimization, maintenance, and repair. The role requires collaboration with Engineering, Operations, and external vendors to ensure systems run efficiently and reliably.


System Optimization:

• Monitor, maintain, and upgrade process and automation systems.

• Work with Engineering and Operations to implement and optimize robotic and automation improvements to manufacturing processes.


Programming & Troubleshooting:

• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, robots, and camera equipment for die cast, machining, and assembly operations.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and automation control issues.

• Install, test, and calibrate electrical components and control systems.


Maintenance & Repair:

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on automated and monitoring equipment.

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, updates, and calibrations.


Documentation & Training:

• Develop and update process limits, procedures, and training materials.

• Provide technical support and training for production personnel.

• Generate reports analyzing machine and process performance.


Continuous Improvement:

• Research and propose system upgrades and automation enhancements.

• Maintain stock of repair items and parts.

• Support a positive, collaborative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.


Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Degree or Certificate in Electrical/Electronics Technology, Industrial Robotics, or Automation preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing or automation environment

• Experience with industrial automation systems and PLCs

• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and industrial codes/standards

• Proficient in documentation, analysis, and Microsoft Office tools

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Preferred experience with Fanuc and Kawasaki robotic systems or simulation software such as Fanuc Roboguide
