About the Role
This role supports daily production at a chemical manufacturing facility. The Production Supervisor oversees hands-on operations, safety, and team leadership while working closely with the Plant Manager. Long-term growth opportunities include advancement into a Plant Manager role or promotion within other company locations for candidates open to future relocation.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Supervise chemical processing involving agitators, pumps, and transfer to railcars and trucks
- Manage inventory and oversight of the tank farm storing liquid chemical products
- Coordinate with maintenance on equipment reliability and downtime
- Lead safety meetings, audits, and compliance activities
- Use safety, maintenance, and production software systems for reporting and documentation
- Support employee training, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Ensure accurate production records, documentation, and communication
- Serve as a key operational leader at a small, hands-on facility
Qualifications
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment or a similar heavy industrial process setting
- Strong lead or supervisory experience with the ability to direct, coach, and develop others
- Hands-on understanding of chemical processing, pumping systems, and bulk material handling
- Familiarity with tank farms, railcar or truck loading operations, and industrial safety practices
- Basic computer proficiency including production, safety, and maintenance software systems
- Experience with E-Maintenance systems and SAP or similar ERP platforms
- Strong safety mindset and experience working within regulated environments
- Ability to work closely with plant leadership in a small-team, high-visibility setting
