About the Role

This role supports daily production at a chemical manufacturing facility. The Production Supervisor oversees hands-on operations, safety, and team leadership while working closely with the Plant Manager. Long-term growth opportunities include advancement into a Plant Manager role or promotion within other company locations for candidates open to future relocation.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Supervise chemical processing involving agitators, pumps, and transfer to railcars and trucks
• Manage inventory and oversight of the tank farm storing liquid chemical products
• Coordinate with maintenance on equipment reliability and downtime
• Lead safety meetings, audits, and compliance activities
• Use safety, maintenance, and production software systems for reporting and documentation
• Support employee training, coaching, and performance evaluations
• Ensure accurate production records, documentation, and communication
• Serve as a key operational leader at a small, hands-on facility

Qualifications

• Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment or a similar heavy industrial process setting
• Strong lead or supervisory experience with the ability to direct, coach, and develop others
• Hands-on understanding of chemical processing, pumping systems, and bulk material handling
• Familiarity with tank farms, railcar or truck loading operations, and industrial safety practices
• Basic computer proficiency including production, safety, and maintenance software systems
• Experience with E-Maintenance systems and SAP or similar ERP platforms
• Strong safety mindset and experience working within regulated environments
• Ability to work closely with plant leadership in a small-team, high-visibility setting
