HiFyve is hiring an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager!
Starting Salary: $108,480 - $135,600/annually + 20% Annual Target Bonus
Shift: Full-Time
Location: South Los Angeles, CA
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety programs across manufacturing and distribution operations
- Serve as the site's EHS subject matter expert, providing guidance and leadership on regulatory compliance, risk management, environmental programs, and injury prevention
- Develop and implement initiatives designed to reduce workplace injuries, incidents, and environmental risks
- Conduct facility inspections, audits, and compliance assessments to identify gaps and verify program effectiveness
- Develop corrective action plans and partner with facility leadership to ensure timely resolution of EHS concerns
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
- Manage and support environmental compliance programs and required regulatory documentation
- Analyze EHS performance metrics and develop action plans to improve safety and environmental performance
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, and leadership
- Partner with operations, maintenance, HR, legal, and other cross-functional teams on EHS initiatives
- Support emergency preparedness, crisis management, incident response, and workers' compensation activities
- Identify opportunities to improve EHS processes through data-driven decision making and continuous improvement methodologies
- Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices and communicate relevant updates to facility leadership
- Support additional EHS projects and initiatives as assigned
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
- High school diploma/GED with 9+ years of relevant safety, risk management, or environmental experience may be considered
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 6+ years of progressive experience in EHS, safety, environmental compliance, or risk management
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations
- Experience conducting EHS audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance evaluations
- Strong understanding of hazard recognition, risk assessment, and injury prevention practices
- Experience developing and delivering safety and compliance training
- Ability to communicate complex technical and regulatory information to non-technical audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Srong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred
- Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or similar EHS management systems preferred
- Food and beverage, consumer products, manufacturing, or distribution experience preferred
- Leadership experience with the ability to influence and develop teams preferred
- ASP, CSP, or other professional EHS certification preferred
- Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer background check and drug screening
