HiFyve is hiring an HR Generalist in the aerospace manufacturing industry in Wichita, KS!

Location: Wichita, KS

Shift: M-F 8am- 5pm

Pay: $65-70K/yr

We are seeking a motivated HR Generalist with strong aerospace or manufacturing HR experience to support a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and HR operations while helping maintain a positive and productive workplace culture.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns
  • Support full employee lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, orientation, discipline, and terminations
  • Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
  • Maintain accurate employee personnel and medical records in HRIS systems
  • Track OSHA training, certifications, and schedule required medical exams
  • Coordinate interviews, support hiring managers, and assist with extending job offers
  • Issue employee badges and manage security access for new hires
  • Support payroll processing in ADP Workforce Now, including data accuracy and timekeeping coordination
  • Track and manage FMLA, leave of absence, and attendance programs
  • Assist employees and managers with HR policies, compensation, and compliance issues
  • Support performance management, disciplinary actions, and attendance counseling
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, etc.)
  • Participate in HR audits and support continuous process improvements
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold company policies and professional standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience required (aerospace or manufacturing strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, compliance, and HR operations
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now (required)
  • Experience with payroll processing required
  • Strong understanding of FMLA, OSHA, EEO, ADA, and employment law compliance
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma required (Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience)
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus (not required)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and legally authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • 100% onsite role in a manufacturing environment
  • Regular desk/computer work with occasional plant floor exposure
  • Must be able to follow safety requirements and wear PPE when needed
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
  • May occasionally work in temperature-variable or noisy environments
