HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry!
Salary: $27-46/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:15 PM)
Location: Washington, IL
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain equipment and building systems through scheduled preventative maintenance work orders.
Repair equipment as necessary, including General “M” and Emergency “X” work orders.
Read blueprints and schematic drawings to diagnose and determine repair issues.
Fabricate equipment as required, including welding, cutting, and drilling activities.
Submit timely progress reports on maintenance projects and provide updates to involved personnel.
Accurately enter time and components on maintenance work orders per department procedures.
Use continuous process improvement methods to enhance preventative maintenance programs.
Replace machine parts as part of repair activities.
Consult with the Maintenance Lead and other personnel regarding maintenance and repair tasks.
Ensure proper use and care of required tools and equipment.
Follow all company safety policies and wear proper PPE at all times.
Participate in company committees and other organized activities as required.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
At least two years of related technical training required.
One year of on-the-job experience within the company OR three years of related machine maintenance experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of materials, methods, practices, and tools used in industrial maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Strong understanding of workplace safety requirements and proper safety procedures.
Ability to perform moderately complex manufacturing maintenance tasks.
Ability to operate basic computer systems and maintenance-related software.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Experience and Skills Required:
Experience performing industrial maintenance and repair tasks.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical and equipment issues.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
Experience performing preventative maintenance activities.
Experience documenting work and updating maintenance records.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools and equipment.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
May be exposed to varying weather conditions.
Must follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE while working around industrial equipment.
