HiFyve is hiring a Manufacturing Planner II in the Aerospace industry near Santa Clarita, CA!


Salary: $70,000 (under review)

Shift: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Summary

HiFyve is seeking a Manufacturing Planner II to support aerospace production through detailed planning and documentation of manufacturing processes. This role focuses on interpreting engineering designs, developing work instructions, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure efficient and timely execution of build plans in a highly regulated environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specs, and data to validate manufacturability
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, work instructions, BOMs, and process documentation
  • Ensure accurate configuration control and implementation of engineering changes
  • Identify sequential build steps and inspection requirements to support production timelines
  • Develop tooling requirements and collaborate with engineering and production teams
  • Conduct producibility assessments to support cost, quality, and schedule goals
  • Assist with supplier data review to verify alignment with manufacturing needs
  • Participate in resolving production issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Promote lean manufacturing initiatives and process improvements


Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required


Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Planner, Manufacturing Engineer, or Tool Planner in aerospace or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of aviation manufacturing processes and materials
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and process specifications
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with CATIA or other CAD tools is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and multitasking ability
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting fabrication or assembly of complex aerospace components
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing or process improvement tools
