Pay: $110,000–$175,000/year + 15% bonus eligibility

Shift: Day Shift

Travel: 5%–15% (1–3 times per year)

Overview:

We are hiring a Plant Engineering Manager to oversee multi-site plant maintenance and engineering activities for a food manufacturing organization in New Wilmington, PA. This role will lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, support maintenance excellence, manage capital and expense projects, and provide hands-on engineering leadership across multiple locations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project engineering objectives in line with company standards and plant goals
  • Lead design, installation, and commissioning of capital and expense projects
  • Support preventive maintenance, spare parts inventory, and work order systems
  • Develop and maintain facility operating systems to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Use root cause analysis and best practices to drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability
  • Assist plant maintenance managers with wastewater treatment facilities and environmental compliance
  • Train maintenance and engineering teams on evolving technologies and standards
  • Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to execute engineering projects on time and within budget
  • Help define and manage capital and maintenance budgets across assigned facilities
  • Ensure all engineering and environmental practices align with GMP, food safety, and regulatory requirements


Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical training
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in engineering, maintenance, or facilities management in a food manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience in team or project leadership, capital project management, budget oversight, environmental compliance, and PLC programming
  • Certifications or licenses may be required during the course of employment

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and safety compliance
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS systems
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to manage complex technical projects
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site manufacturing environment
  • Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)
