HiFyve is hiring a Machine Operator in the Packaging / Manufacturing industry!

Salary: $20–$28/hr

Shift: 2nd shift, 4:00 pm to 2:30 am, Monday–Thursday (4 10-hour shifts)

Location: Kansas City, KS

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate corrugated box and packaging machinery safely and efficiently
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production targets
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on machinery
• Assist with machine setups, changeovers, and production line adjustments
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly
• Maintain accurate production and operational logs
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maintain equipment performance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for production efficiency and product quality

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to operate and monitor packaging or production machinery
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced production environment
• Willingness to assist maintenance team or other production tasks as needed
