HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance and Tool Room Manager in the Manufacturing industry in Plymouth, MN!

Pay Rate: $90,000–$110,000/year

Location: Plymouth, MN

Shift: Day Shift (Monday–Friday) 6:30 am to 3 pm

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and schedule all preventative maintenance and repair activities for CNC machines and facility equipment

Troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

Oversee installation, setup, and commissioning of new equipment

Analyze and resolve machining, tooling, and equipment issues

Oversee TIG welding activities and perform welding when needed

Design, build, and maintain tools, fixtures, and gauges for production machining

Ensure tooling meets precision and quality standards

Manage tool room inventory, including critical spare parts and procurement of tooling supplies

Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for repairs and facility projects

Supervise maintenance and tool room employees including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management

Ensure safety programs and initiatives are followed and continuously improved

Support shop and leadership projects to improve efficiency and uptime

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary technical training preferred

8–10 years of machine shop, industrial maintenance, or related manufacturing experience

OR

3–5 years of tool & die experience plus leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

3–5 years of supervisory experience required

Must have experience maintaining CNC mills and lathes

ERP experience (Epicor preferred but not required)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance in a machining/manufacturing environment

Advanced troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems)

Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate repairs efficiently

Strong leadership and supervisory skills

Experience designing and building tooling, fixtures, and gauges

Strong understanding of shop math, geometry, and measurement principles

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

Strong communication skills with employees, vendors, and leadership

Project and contract management experience preferred

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment

Frequent use of hands and arms for tools, machinery, and equipment

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, noise, vibration, and industrial conditions

Visual acuity including close vision and depth perception
