Shift: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

About the Role

We're looking for a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day plant operations with responsibility for safety, production, quality, compliance, and employee performance. This position supervises hourly production and maintenance employees and provides operational leadership when the Plant Manager is unavailable.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities while maintaining safety, quality, environmental, and operating standards.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop hourly production and maintenance employees.
  • Coordinate production schedules, workflow, material movement, and customer requirements.
  • Oversee acid regeneration and iron oxide production processes.
  • Monitor equipment performance, production results, quality testing, and plant conditions.
  • Support life-critical permitting, contractor safety, emergency response, and incident reporting.
  • Maintain required production, inventory, quality, and operational documentation.
  • Support regulatory compliance, including RCRA requirements and hazardous material documentation.
  • Partner with maintenance, transportation, leadership, and other departments to resolve operational issues and improve performance.
  • Assist with employee evaluations, staffing activities, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as acting Plant Manager when needed.


Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing/plant operations knowledge.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising employees in an industrial environment.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Availability to work nights or weekends when needed and respond to plant emergencies 24/7.
  • Ability to travel for business as required.
  • Ability to complete required RCRA and Emergency Coordinator training.
  • Knowledge of steel mill pickling operations is preferred.
