Salary: $200,000-$250,000/year + 25% bonus
Schedule: Days | Fractional, approximately 20-40+ hours per month with flexibility

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Fractional CFO to provide strategic and hands-on financial leadership for a private equity-backed manufacturing company with approximately $70M in annual revenue. This role will partner closely with the CEO, Board, and PE ownership group to strengthen financial performance, improve EBITDA and cash flow, and support continued growth and value creation.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a key financial advisor to executive leadership, the Board, and private equity stakeholders.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow planning, and long-range financial strategy.
- Develop financial initiatives focused on EBITDA growth, margin improvement, working capital, and enterprise value.
- Partner with manufacturing leadership to improve plant profitability, cost performance, inventory, and capacity utilization.
- Analyze product and customer profitability, pricing, gross margins, and raw material costs.
- Strengthen financial reporting, KPIs, internal controls, and investor-grade reporting processes.
- Manage liquidity, cash forecasting, and working capital optimization.
- Support acquisitions, financial due diligence, integrations, and other strategic transactions.
- Identify cost reduction and operational improvement opportunities across the organization.
- Present financial performance, risks, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and investors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
- Previous experience as a CFO, Division CFO, VP of Finance, or Fractional CFO.
- Strong background in industrial manufacturing, specialty chemicals, coatings, building products, engineered materials, or a closely related industry.
- Experience supporting businesses with approximately $50M-$250M in annual revenue.
- Strong manufacturing cost accounting and operations finance knowledge.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, margin analysis, and EBITDA improvement.
- Private equity-backed company experience strongly preferred.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or similar advanced credential is a plus.
- M&A, integration, recapitalization, and multi-site manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Direct coatings or specialty materials experience is highly preferred.
