HiFyve is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in the Aerospace industry near Santa Clarita, CA!


Salary: $80,000–$85,000

Shift: Full-time, Day Shift

Position Summary

HiFyve is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production activities in a dynamic aerospace environment. This role is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver who can collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and standardize manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and PFMEAs
  • Review engineering data and specifications to ensure manufacturing requirements can be met
  • Lead process qualifications for new or modified tooling, equipment, and materials
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support floor-level technical problem-solving
  • Monitor production performance metrics and drive corrective actions to improve efficiency
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production to ensure alignment on projects
  • Support lean manufacturing efforts and process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering—or equivalent experience


Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering within aerospace, defense, or similar regulated industries
  • Strong understanding of process development, tooling, GD&T, and engineering documentation
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools; experience with PLM or MES is a plus
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Experience with composites, coatings, or transparent materials is preferred


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cleanroom environments, autoclaves, lamination, or optical finishing processes
  • Background in fixture design or custom tooling
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies
