About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance activities in a fast-paced dairy processing environment. This position will coordinate technicians, troubleshoot equipment issues, support preventive maintenance, and help keep production equipment and plant utilities running safely and reliably.


Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support maintenance technicians during daily plant operations
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, and production support
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Support HTST pasteurization systems, separators, homogenizers, sanitary pumps, valves, valve clusters, and CIP systems
  • Maintain dairy fillers, conveyors, packaging equipment, and related production machinery
  • Assist with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, water, and other plant utility systems
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs based on production needs
  • Help identify recurring equipment issues and support reliability improvements
  • Train and coach maintenance technicians on equipment, troubleshooting, and safe work practices
  • Ensure maintenance activities meet food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements
  • Work closely with production, quality, sanitation, and maintenance leadership to support daily operations


Qualifications

  • Maintenance experience within dairy, beverage, fluid food, or similar food manufacturing
  • Dairy processing experience strongly preferred
  • Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience with sanitary processing equipment, CIP systems, fillers, packaging equipment, and plant utilities
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment reliability
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work 2nd shift and provide additional flexibility based on plant needs
