About the Role

This role supports laboratory operations by testing industrial lubricants and raw materials, ensuring quality, compliance, and reliable data for both QC and R&D teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform chemical testing and analysis on lubricants and raw materials
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
• Coordinate equipment repairs and support new instrument installation
• Develop and update SOPs in alignment with ASTM, ISO, and other standards
• Investigate equipment issues and recommend solutions
• Prepare chemical solutions for testing and experimentation
• Document, analyze, and report test results to internal stakeholders
• Investigate out-of-specification and out-of-trend results
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and disposal of chemical waste
• Support creation and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Collaborate with manufacturing, QC, and technical teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Chemistry preferred)
• 0–2+ years of laboratory experience (2+ years preferred)
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of analytical methods and scientific principles
• Ability to write reports and analyze data with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with ASTM/ISO testing standards preferred
• Knowledge of lubricant industry instrumentation is a plus
