Salary: $120K–$130K; flexibility up to ~$145K based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scientist to develop new specialty chemicals and processes for industrial applications. This hands-on R&D role focuses on organic synthesis, new product development, process optimization, and scaling chemistry from the lab into commercial manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute organic/small-molecule synthesis experiments.
• Develop new specialty chemical products and synthetic processes.
• Optimize reaction chemistry, product performance, quality, and cost.
• Scale new chemistry from lab to pilot and commercial production.
• Support manufacturing during technology transfer, scale-up, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, and technical teams.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of relevant industrial R&D experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on organic/synthetic chemistry experience.
• Experience with new product/process development and scale-up.
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience with specialty chemicals, surfactants, alkylation, sulfonation, olefins, lubricants, metalworking fluids, oilfield chemicals, corrosion inhibitors, pilot-scale development, or commercialization is highly desirable.
