Salary: $31–$37/hr + travel bonuses + profit sharing

Shift: Days (21 days traveling, 7 days home rotation)

Location: Springfield, MO

About the Role

This role leads field installations and commissioning of PLC-based control systems on large technical projects. The Lead PLC Technician provides technical direction on job sites while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead installation and commissioning of PLC-based control systems at project sites
  • Guide and coordinate technicians during system installations and project work
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues during installation and startup
  • Support system testing, commissioning, and operational verification
  • Ensure projects are completed according to scope, timeline, and performance expectations
  • Maintain project documentation including time tracking, expenses, and progress updates
  • Monitor jobsite safety and ensure all work follows company safety procedures
  • Communicate project progress and technical updates with internal teams and leadership
  • Travel extensively to support installations and project work

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong experience with PLC-based control systems, electrical systems, and industrial equipment
  • Proven ability to lead technicians and coordinate installation work on job sites
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid/AED, and other safety certifications preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain required driving standards
