HiFyve is hiring a Lab Technician in the Materials Testing industry!

Pay: $26.00–$34.00/hr (DOE)

Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (OT available)

Location: Onsite

About the Role

This role supports R&D and quality control lab operations through materials testing, sample preparation, and maintaining an efficient and organized laboratory environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with cement and concrete testing under supervision
• Learn and apply cement chemistry and concrete performance fundamentals
• Sample and prepare materials for testing
• Follow lab procedures for handling, storing, and testing materials
• Accurately record and communicate test results
• Maintain lab equipment and overall lab cleanliness
• Support efficient lab operations through communication with team members
• Perform basic math and utilize Excel for data tracking
• Lift and move materials up to 70 lbs
• Complete ACI Concrete Field Testing and Strength Testing certifications (company-sponsored)

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree in science or engineering preferred
• Concrete or materials testing experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Basic math and computer skills (Excel)
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Additional Details

• Primarily indoor lab work with occasional outdoor tasks
• Hands-on, physically active role
• Training and certification provided by employer
• Up to 15% travel required
