Interface with staff departments (e.g., finance, quality, supply chain management, environmental health and safety), understanding their needs, translating these needs into actionable plans, and reporting on accomplishments.
Develop and implement long-term strategic and capital expenditure (CAPEX) plans.
Collaborate closely with the plant manager, supply chain, and finance teams to create and execute strategic operational plans, including manufacturing strategies to achieve capacity increases.
Apply the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle in conjunction with continuous improvement efforts.
Implement or enhance standards and processes to establish a system that provides key performance indicators (KPIs) visible from the shop floor to management.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
At least 12 years of experience in manufacturing, ideally within a heavy industrial environment.
Minimum of five years of supervisory experience managing both hourly and salaried employees.
At least five years of experience in a unionized workplace.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment eligibility will be verified upon hiring. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
This role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which mandates U.S. person status. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), political asylee, or refugee.
Experience with casting and hot rolling is preferred.
Experience with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) systems is preferred.
