Salary: $65K - $85K+per year

Shift: Days

Location: Monroe County, WI


Job Summary:


A growing manufacturer in the nutritional ingredients space is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to lead safety and compliance efforts at their Sparta, WI facility. This role will also provide support to other Wisconsin locations as needed. Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and internal EHS regulations and policies
  • Develop, implement, and maintain tailored EHS programs and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments; recommend and track corrective actions
  • Lead investigations of incidents, environmental releases, and near misses
  • Facilitate monthly safety committee meetings and drive employee engagement
  • Deliver EHS training and new hire orientations; maintain accurate training documentation
  • Maintain OSHA logs (300, 301, 300A) and other regulatory records
  • Manage workers’ compensation reporting and return-to-work coordination
  • Support ongoing safety initiatives through audits, observations, and performance tracking
  • Maintain EHS documentation in internal databases and reporting systems


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is highly preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • 2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or plant setting
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DNR regulations
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS software tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CIH) are a plus
