HiFyve is hiring an experienced Maintenance Mechanic in the food production manufacturing industry in Dallas, TX.

Location: Dallas, Texas

Pay: $29 - $31/hour

Schedule: 2nd OR 3rd Shift

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on mixers, conveyors, pumps, ovens, packaging lines, HVAC, and related production machinery
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; replace parts such as belts, bearings, motors, and sensors
• Use schematics and blueprints to diagnose, dismantle, and rebuild machinery as needed
• Maintain equipment logs, complete work orders via CMMS, and track parts inventory
• Assist with equipment installations, tool calibration, and commissioning in technical lab settings
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to quickly resolve breakdowns and ensure safe operations

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in food or manufacturing environments
• Proficiency with preventive maintenance and CMMS tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude—experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, conveyors, and packaging systems
• Electrical troubleshooting skills (e.g., motors, control circuits)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and follow safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or formal training (technical school or apprenticeship)
• Food manufacturing experience with sanitation and safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, BRC)
• PLC diagnostic experience and basic electrical wiring skills
