Oversee daily operations of Lamination, Pouch, and Slitting departments, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Focus on optimizing workplace and food packaging safety, product quality, yield, and overall productivity.
Train, mentor, and guide shift team members to ensure performance excellence.
Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members.
Manage shift schedules, including task assignments, rotations, training, and time-off requests. Ensure adequate coverage for breaks, absences, and overtime as needed.
Lead production startups, shutdowns, and product changeovers.
Facilitate and lead shift meetings to keep the team informed and aligned.
Drive the achievement of shift production targets and goals.
Monitor and maintain quality control standards, adjusting processes as necessary to meet product specifications. Reject any non-conforming products.
Follow and enforce all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate with other shift supervisors and key management personnel, including the Operations Manager and senior leadership.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Complete all necessary shift-related documentation.
Support production activities as required, including handling WIP and raw material rolls over 1,000 lbs. using appropriate equipment.
Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Be available to cover absences within the department as directed by management.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with food safety and SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards.
Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and 5S organizational protocols.
Guarantee all products meet safety, quality, and customer specifications.
Actively promote and enforce company-wide adherence to quality and safety practices among all employees.
