About the Role

We're looking for a Production Supervisor to lead second-shift operations in a food manufacturing environment. This position will oversee production employees, coordinate daily workflow, and ensure safety, quality, food safety, and production goals are consistently met.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, and provide daily direction to production employees
  • Monitor production activities to ensure output, quality, and efficiency goals are achieved
  • Oversee processing and packaging operations, including equipment performance and sanitation
  • Coordinate production schedules, materials, ingredients, and packaging to meet customer demand
  • Identify equipment issues and coordinate timely maintenance and repairs
  • Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency, cost, and overall plant performance
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety, quality, sanitation, and safety requirements
  • Coach, train, and develop employees while providing ongoing performance feedback
  • Support employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes
  • Conduct shift meetings and maintain clear communication across the production team
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, HR, and other departments to resolve operational issues
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and other required production and employee documentation


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably within food or beverage manufacturing
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, or demonstrated manufacturing leadership experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, and equipment operations
  • Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, quality, and workplace safety practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage production priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to coach employees and hold teams accountable for performance and safety


Preferred Experience

  • Food, beverage, or dairy manufacturing
  • Dairy processing operations such as pasteurization, separation, mixing, filling, or packaging
  • Continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives
  • Production scheduling and material coordination
  • Union manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
