HiFyve is hiring a Knockout Operator (2nd Shift) in the Manufacturing industry in Jefferson County, WI!


Pay Rate: $20 - $23/hr + $0.50 shift difference

Location: Jefferson County, WI

Shift: 2nd Shift (1pm - 9pm)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Mold Removal: Perform all necessary tasks to knockout metal castings from ceramic molds efficiently.
  • Production Support: Assist the pouring team during operations to ensure a smooth casting process.
  • Material Handling: Operate a forklift to safely stack and transport finished castings to the Cleaning Department.
  • Cross-Functional Assistance: Support the KOH (Potassium Hydroxide) and Waterblast stations as needed to maintain production flow.
  • Area Maintenance: Keep the work station clean, organized, and orderly to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Supervised Execution: Work effectively under general supervision to meet daily output goals.


Education Requirements:

  • Basic Skills: Requires the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations (addition and subtraction).
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to use direct reading instruments and fixed gauges for quality checks.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Equipment Operation: Qualified or able to become qualified to drive a forklift for industrial material handling.
  • Measurement Skills: Competency in using basic gauges to ensure castings meet initial standards.
  • Versatility: Willingness to assist in various departments like Waterblast or Cleaning based on production needs.
  • Safety Mindset: Commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly workspace to prevent hazards.


Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting: Must be able to perform heavy lifting regularly throughout the shift.
  • Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of a foundry environment, including heat and repetitive motion.
  • Coordination: Skilled in manual labor tasks associated with breaking molds and moving heavy industrial components.
