HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in the Manufacturing Industry!

Pay: $30-40+/hr

Shift: 12-hour shifts, 6 PM – 6 AM, 2-2-3 schedule

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery including fillers, packaging equipment, cappers, labelers, palletizers, and blow mold machines
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on bottling equipment to maintain efficient production operations
  • Lead changeover processes and preventative maintenance activities
  • Conduct routine cleaning and upkeep of production machinery
  • Monitor production lines to ensure high-quality product output through constant observation and inspections
  • Operate all production and blow mold machinery according to established specifications
  • Carry a radio and required tools throughout the shift to remain accessible and responsive
  • Assist with training new employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices
  • Support production needs by rotating duties as required
  • Ensure compliance with GMP regulations, food safety standards, and cleanliness requirements throughout the facility
  • Report all emergencies, injuries, and production incidents immediately to the shift supervisor
  • Follow standard operating procedures, quality checks, and SQF food safety requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–3 years of previous maintenance experience preferred
  • Forklift experience and certification a plus
  • Computer experience required; strong Excel skills preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Ability to operate and maintain bottling and blow mold equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and operating procedures
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Ability to walk, climb, and perform physical tasks throughout the facility
  • Knowledge of GMP, food safety, and quality standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

GMP & PPE Requirements

  • Follow all GMP regulations while on the production floor
  • Ensure all personnel comply with plant GMP standards
  • Wear required PPE, including hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), earplugs, and safety glasses
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures, quality checks, and food safety requirements
  • Support SQF System objectives and food quality standards
