Roles and Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the department’s budget to ensure financial goals are met or exceeded.
- Manage capital and expense projects to meet defined scope, budget, and timeline.
- Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance-related systems to support continuous manufacturing operations.
- Ensure that departmental activities meet or exceed established quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with on-site staff and management to review and approve plans for new equipment installations and layout modifications to enhance operational efficiency.
- Engage regularly with personnel to address concerns, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Drive key performance indicators, recommend corrective actions, and oversee the successful implementation of necessary changes.
- Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities to support plant sustainability.
- Manage employee performance by setting clear expectations, holding team members accountable, and cultivating a sense of urgency.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues, implement new procedures or processes, and support the introduction of new products.
- Maintain effective communication practices to ensure all key stakeholders are informed and able to respond appropriately.
- Ensure that process, equipment, or product changes are communicated promptly and clearly to all affected employees.
- Work flexible shifts as required and be available to address plant issues outside of regular duty hours.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and complying with corporate, regulatory, and food safety standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience managing people and/or processes in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for experience in high-speed manufacturing and food industries.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization.
- CAD experience required
